Welcome to DinnaFind
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DinnaFind mobile application ("App"), operated by DinnaFind Team ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using DinnaFind, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DinnaFind.
Eligibility
2.1 Age Requirements
You must be at least 13 years old to use DinnaFind. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the App.
2.2 Account Accuracy
You represent and warrant that:
- ✓ All information you provide during registration is accurate and complete
- ✓ You will maintain the accuracy of such information
- ✓ Your use of the App does not violate any applicable law or regulation
Description of Service
3.1 Core Features
DinnaFind provides a restaurant discovery and organization platform that includes:
- • Restaurant Discovery: Search and browse restaurants using location-based services powered by Google Places API
- • Bucket List Management: Save restaurants to a personal bucket list for future visits
- • Visit Tracking: Mark restaurants as visited and maintain a history of your dining experiences
- • Geofencing Alerts: Receive location-based notifications when near saved restaurants (optional)
- • Notes and Organization: Add personal notes, tags, and priorities to saved restaurants
- • Cross-Platform Access: Use the App on iOS and Android devices
3.2 Service Availability
We strive to maintain continuous availability of the App, but we do not guarantee that:
- • The App will be available at all times or without interruption
- • The App will be error-free or secure
- • Defects will be corrected promptly or at all
User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
You may create an account using:
- • Email and password
- • Google Sign-In (OAuth)
- • Sign in with Apple (iOS only)
4.2 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- • All activities that occur under your account
- • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4.3 Account Information
You agree to:
- • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- • Update your information to maintain its accuracy
- • Not create an account using false information or on behalf of someone else without permission
- • Not create multiple accounts for yourself
4.4 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the App's Profile settings. Upon deletion:
- • Your account will be permanently removed
- • All associated data (bucket list items, notes, alerts) will be permanently deleted
- • This action cannot be undone
- • You will be immediately signed out

Privacy and Data Collection
5.1 Data We Collect
DinnaFind collects and processes the following data:
Account Information:
- • Name and email address (for authentication)
- • User ID and authentication tokens
Location Data:
- • Current location (to find nearby restaurants)
- • Geofence locations (for optional proximity alerts)
- • Location data is not stored permanently
User Content:
- • Saved restaurants (bucket list items)
- • Personal notes and tags
- • Visit history and timestamps
Usage Information:
- • App interactions and feature usage
- • Crash reports and error logs (anonymous)
5.2 How We Use Your Data
We use collected data to:
- • Provide and improve the App's functionality
- • Deliver location-based restaurant recommendations
- • Send proximity alerts (if enabled)
- • Maintain your bucket list and preferences
- • Provide customer support
- • Ensure security and prevent fraud
5.3 Data Sharing
We do NOT:
- • Sell your personal data to third parties
- • Use your data for advertising purposes
- • Track you across other apps or websites
- • Share your location data with advertisers
We MAY share data with:
- • Google Places API: Location coordinates to retrieve restaurant information
- • Supabase: Our database provider (GDPR and SOC 2 compliant)
- • Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate the App (all under strict confidentiality agreements)
5.4 Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to:
- • Access your personal data
- • Correct inaccurate data
- • Delete your account and all associated data
- • Export your data (data portability)
- • Opt-out of location-based alerts

User Conduct
6.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use DinnaFind only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
Prohibited Activities:
- • Violate any local, state, national, or international law
- • Infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others
- • Harass, abuse, or harm another person
- • Impersonate or attempt to impersonate DinnaFind, a DinnaFind employee, another user, or any other person or entity
- • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code
- • Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the App's infrastructure
- • Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the App
- • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
- • Remove, circumvent, or disable any security features or access controls
- • Use the App in any manner that could damage or overburden our servers
Content Restrictions:
- • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent restaurant reviews or information
- • Submit spam, advertisements, or promotional material
- • Upload content containing illegal substances, hate speech, or violent threats
- • Collect or harvest personal information about other users
6.2 Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- • Remove any content that violates these Terms
- • Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
- • Cooperate with law enforcement authorities
- • Take legal action against users who violate these Terms
Location Services
7.1 Location Permission
DinnaFind requires location access to:
- • Find restaurants near your current location
- • Provide accurate search results based on your area
- • Deliver proximity alerts when you approach saved restaurants (optional)
7.2 Background Location (Optional)
For geofencing alerts to work, you may grant background location permission. This allows the App to:
- • Monitor your proximity to saved restaurants
- • Send notifications when you're near a saved location
- • Provide timely dining suggestions
You can disable background location at any time through your device settings.
7.3 Location Data Usage
Location data is:
- • Used only for restaurant discovery and proximity alerts
- • Never stored permanently on our servers
- • Never sold to third parties
- • Never used for advertising or tracking purposes
7.4 Accuracy Disclaimer
Location-based features depend on:
- • GPS signal strength
- • Device capabilities
- • Network connectivity
- • Environmental factors
We do not guarantee the accuracy of location services and are not responsible for:
- • Incorrect restaurant proximity notifications
- • Navigation errors
- • Location-based feature malfunctions
Intellectual Property Rights
8.1 Our Intellectual Property
The App and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by DinnaFind, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by:
- • United States and international copyright laws
- • Trademark laws
- • Patent laws
- • Trade secret laws
- • Other intellectual property laws
8.2 Trademarks
The DinnaFind name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of DinnaFind or its affiliates or licensors. You must not use such marks without our prior written permission.
8.3 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- • Access and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes
- • Download the App onto your mobile device
You may NOT:
- • Modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any part of the App
- • Use the App for any commercial purpose without our express written consent
8.4 Open Source
DinnaFind may include open-source software components licensed under separate terms. Those terms are available in the App's source code repository and take precedence where applicable.
Third-Party Services and Content
9.1 Third-Party Integrations
DinnaFind integrates with third-party services, including:
- Google Places API:

9.2 Third-Party Content
Restaurant information (names, addresses, hours, photos, reviews, ratings) is provided by third-party sources. We:
- • Do NOT verify the accuracy of third-party content
- • Are NOT responsible for outdated or incorrect restaurant information
- • Are NOT liable for reliance on third-party content
- • May update or remove third-party content without notice
9.3 External Links
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We:
- • Do NOT endorse or control third-party websites
- • Are NOT responsible for their content, privacy policies, or practices
- • Recommend you review their terms and privacy policies before use
9.4 No Affiliation
DinnaFind is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by:
- • Restaurants listed in the App
- • Review platforms (Yelp, Google Reviews, etc.)
- • Third-party service providers
We do not receive compensation from restaurants for placement, ranking, or visibility in search results.
User-Generated Content
10.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create in DinnaFind, including:
- • Personal notes about restaurants
- • Custom tags and categories
- • Bucket list organization
- • Visit history
10.2 License to Use Your Content
By using DinnaFind, you grant us a limited license to:
- • Store your content on our servers
- • Display your content to you within the App
- • Process your content to provide App functionality
- • Back up your content for data recovery purposes
This license is:
- • Non-exclusive: You retain all ownership rights
- • Revocable: Terminated when you delete your account or remove content
- • Limited: We will not share your personal notes or content with other users
10.3 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- • The accuracy and legality of content you create
- • Ensuring your content does not violate these Terms
- • Any consequences of posting inappropriate or illegal content
10.4 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any content that:
- • Violates these Terms
- • Infringes on intellectual property rights
- • Contains illegal, harmful, or offensive material
- • Is spam or misleading
Disclaimers
11.1 "AS IS" Disclaimer
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- • Merchantability: Fitness for a particular purpose
- • Non-infringement: Freedom from intellectual property claims
- • Accuracy: Completeness or reliability of content
- • Security: Freedom from viruses or harmful components
- • Availability: Uninterrupted or error-free operation
11.2 Restaurant Information Disclaimer
We do NOT warrant that:
- • Restaurant information is accurate, current, or complete
- • Hours of operation are correct
- • Restaurants are still in business
- • Menu items, prices, or services are as described
- • Photos accurately represent the establishment
Always verify restaurant information independently before visiting.
11.3 Health and Safety Disclaimer
DinnaFind does NOT:
- • Inspect restaurants for health or safety compliance
- • Verify food quality, cleanliness, or safety standards
- • Guarantee allergen-free or dietary-compliant options
- • Assume responsibility for food-borne illness or health issues
If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, always verify with the restaurant directly.
11.4 Navigation and Location Disclaimer
We are NOT responsible for:
- • GPS inaccuracies or location errors
- • Incorrect driving directions
- • Unsafe navigation routes
- • Traffic conditions or road hazards
Always use caution and verify directions independently.
11.5 No Professional Advice
DinnaFind does NOT provide:
- • Medical, dietary, or nutritional advice
- • Professional restaurant recommendations
- • Health or safety certifications
User-generated content and restaurant information should NOT be considered professional advice.
Limitation of Liability
12.1 Damages Waiver
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DINNAFIND AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
Direct Damages:
- • Lost profits or revenue
- • Lost data or content
- • Cost of substitute services
- • Business interruption
Indirect Damages:
- • Consequential, incidental, or punitive damages
- • Personal injury or property damage
- • Emotional distress or reputational harm
- • Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the App
12.2 Liability Cap
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- • $100 USD, or
- • The amount you paid to us in the past 12 months (if any)
12.3 Third-Party Actions
We are NOT liable for:
- • Actions or omissions of third-party services (Google Places, Supabase, etc.)
- • Restaurant closures, menu changes, or service quality
- • Food allergies, food poisoning, or health issues
- • Interactions with other users
- • Unauthorized access to your account due to your negligence
12.4 Jurisdictional Limitations
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
13.1 Your Indemnification Obligation
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DinnaFind, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- • Your violation of these Terms
- • Your violation of any law or regulation
- • Your violation of any third-party rights (intellectual property, privacy, publicity, etc.)
- • Your use or misuse of the App
- • Your user-generated content
- • Your interactions with restaurants or other users
- • Any false or misleading information you provide
13.2 Defense and Settlement
We reserve the right to:
- • Assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification
- • Require your cooperation in defending such claims
- • Settle claims without your consent (you remain obligated to indemnify us)
Modifications to the Service
14.1 Right to Modify
We reserve the right to:
- • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (in whole or in part) at any time
- • Add or remove features without notice
- • Change pricing or introduce fees for previously free features
- • Update APIs and third-party integrations
14.2 No Obligation to Maintain
We have NO obligation to:
- • Maintain or support any particular feature
- • Provide backward compatibility
- • Continue offering the App indefinitely
14.3 No Liability for Changes
We are NOT liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App or any feature.
Termination
15.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- • Using the "Delete Account" feature in the App's Profile settings
- • Sending a deletion request to support@dinnafind.com
Upon termination:
- • Your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- • All personal data will be removed from our active databases
- • Your bucket list, notes, and alerts will be permanently deleted
- • This action cannot be undone
15.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if:
- • You violate these Terms
- • You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- • Your account is inactive for an extended period
- • We discontinue the App
- • Required by law or legal process
15.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination by either party:
- • Your right to use the App immediately ceases
- • All licenses granted to you terminate
- • You must cease all use of the App
- • We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
15.4 Survival
The following sections survive termination:

Governing Law

If informal resolution fails, you agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

Either party may bring an action in small claims court if the claim qualifies and remains in small claims court.
17.5 Exceptions to Arbitration
Arbitration does NOT apply to:
- • Intellectual property disputes (trademark, copyright, patent, trade secret)
- • Injunctive relief requests
- • Disputes that cannot be arbitrated under applicable law
Changes to Terms
18.1 Right to Modify
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective:
- • Immediately upon posting the updated Terms in the App
- • After notifying you via email (if applicable)
- • After posting a notice in the App
18.2 Notification of Changes
We will notify you of material changes by:
- • Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document
- • Displaying an in-app notification
- • Sending an email to your registered address (for significant changes)
18.3 Acceptance of Changes
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must:
- • Stop using the App immediately
- • Delete your account
18.4 Change History
We maintain a record of previous Terms versions. To request a copy of prior Terms, contact us at legal@dinnafind.com.
Contact Information
Miscellaneous
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DinnaFind regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- • Acts of God, natural disasters, or pandemics
- • War, terrorism, or civil unrest
- • Government actions or regulations
- • Internet or telecommunications failures
- • Third-party service provider outages
